Sněžná
The Sněžná room is newly renovated, located on the first floor, with an internal staircase. It consists of a hallway and a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed for up to two people. The room has its own bathroom with shower and toilet. The windows lead to a quiet atrium.
The room is named, like the whole guesthouse, after the extinct village of Sněžná. On the watershed of the Vltava and Blanice rivers, between the peaks of Křemenná and Doupná Mountain, there were two settlements - Horní and Dolní Sněžná. The first references to these villages date back to the mid-seventeenth century. In 1910, the settlement of Horní Sněžná consisted of 30 houses with 146 inhabitants, a school and an inn. In the same year, Dolní Sněžná had 169 inhabitants living in 34 houses. After the removal of the German population, these villages were not repopulated. Interestingly, Eduard Bass placed the birthplace of the main characters of the novel Circus Humberto in the village of Horní Sněžná. In the film, however, Horní Sněžná was imitated by the open-air museum Veselý Kopec.

Absolutely amazing place. In my 67 best guesthouse,and my wife and I have been through a lot. Beautifully renovated house and a dream staff. And the kitchen? The chef is an absolute marvel. Stylish environment of the original partly timbered, partly brick cottage. It's not a new building, so yes, every now and then a plank creaks, footsteps can be heard through the wooden ceiling, and so on. However, everything is clean, Mr. Operator, although it may not look like it at first glance, is a friendly and nice guy. Everything we needed was provided for breakfast and the dinners were very tasty. Excellent accessibility for sightseeing trips in Bohemia and Bavaria.

Stylish accommodation. Mrs. receptionist and Mr. operator were very pleasant. Parking available. A short walk to the train station. Super starting point for many trips. I would only have one complaint and that is zero flexibility in catering. Dinner with no choice, which I consider standard nowadays. Meal alternatives only when arranged about 2 weeks in advance I think and with a surcharge. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.
